Fixing bites with elastics

OVERBITE (Class 2)

One type of bite problem that requires elastics is an overbite. For someone with this bite, they would wear an elastic that hooks to the bottom teeth near the back of the mouth and stretch the elastic towards the front teeth on the top arch.

Underbite (Class 3)

Another type of bite problem that requires elastics is an underbite. For someone with this bite, they would wear an elastic that hooks to the top teeth near the back of the mouth and stretch the elastic towards the front teeth on the bottom arch.
