First Orthodontic visit
What to Expect at Your First Visit
We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office! To prepare for this first visit, be sure to take the time to complete our new patient and health history forms before you arrive.
Your initial appointment with Dr. Johnson or Dr. Lingenbrink is always complimentary! During this initial appointment, you will meet with one of our doctors and discuss the best orthodontic treatment options based on your concerns. This important 60-minute visit will allow us to gather diagnostic records and complete a thorough examination.
The records consist of digital images and photographs and are necessary for developing the best treatment plan for you. During this examination, each patient will be able to express their concerns and address any questions they may have. We make it a priority to understand your specific concerns, and questions. We will ensure that you leave your first visit with a clear understanding of the process moving forward!
For those who are as excited as we are to start your orthodontic journey, we can usually get you started same day! We look forward to meeting you in our office!

Second Orthodontic visit
Congrats!
You’ve made the decision to start orthodontic treatment with us! If you decide to not start treatment the same day as your consult, you will schedule a time to come in to start your new orthodontic journey. Plan to be in our office for about an hour. You’ll receive your own orthodontic care kit, and our team will be available to answer all your questions. We are here to make sure that you and your family are comfortable, relaxed, and excited! We are excited to have you starting your new journey with us!
There has never been a better time to begin your orthodontic journey! With todays’ technology, your appointments are so convenient, and you will find that you won’t miss as much school or work. You will visit with Dr. Johnson or Dr. Lingenbrink about every eight to twelve weeks. It’s important to stay on track with appointments so you can complete treatment on time. We will work with you to schedule days and times that work best for you.
Please give us a call to reschedule if you are running late for an appointment or know in advance that you will have a conflict so that we may work together to achieve your best results.
To maintain healthy teeth and gums during your orthodontic treatment, Dr. Johnson, and Dr. Lingenbrink recommend patients see their general dentist at a minimum twice a year for cleanings and evaluations. If he sees that you need additional dental treatment, he will be happy to go the extra mile to coordinate with your dentist to ensure the best results. We are proud of our continued relationships with our dental teams! They are an extension of our team!
